Compatibility — check before buying:
Requires an LGA1851 processor, DDR5 memory and an ATX-compatible case. Check CPU and memory support lists. Processor graphics are required for display outputs and full Thunderbolt functionality. Wi-Fi 7 requires compatible Windows 11 software; there is no Windows 10 wireless driver.

Five M.2 slots
One slot supports PCIe 5.0 x4 and four support PCIe 4.0 x4. M2M_SB also accepts SATA M.2 drives. Four SATA connectors accommodate additional storage.
 
Thunderbolt connectivity
The rear Type-C port supports up to 40Gbps with Thunderbolt devices and up to 20Gbps with USB4 devices. A front USB-C header supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 through a compatible case connection.
 
Networking and audio
Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4 complements 2.5GbE LAN. Realtek ALC1220 audio includes an optical S/PDIF output.

What Will Not Work

LGA1700 processors and DDR4 memory are incompatible.
Only M2M_SB accepts SATA M.2 drives.
The internal HDMI connector is not a rear HDMI port. Plan a suitable USB-C display connection or graphics card.

Are all five M.2 slots PCIe 5.0?
No. Only M2A_CPU supports PCIe 5.0; the other four are PCIe 4.0.
Does ECC memory enable error correction?
No. Supported ECC unbuffered modules operate in non-ECC mode.
Will 6GHz Wi-Fi work everywhere?
Availability depends on local regulations. Use a compatible router and supported Windows 11 drivers; actual performance depends on equipment and environment.
