Good Connections 8060-003 Cat 6 S/FTP Patch Cable, 0.25 m Grey

Cat 6 S/FTP0.25 m · Grey250 MHz · 1 GbpsPVC jacket

The Good Connections 8060-003 is a 0.25 m grey Cat 6 S/FTP patch cable with RJ45 plugs on both ends, built for patch-panel-to-switch jumpers, stacked switches and tight rack runs. The RNS boot shields the RJ45 release lug so it cannot snap off when cords are pulled out of a crowded patch field, and the fully screened S/FTP PiMF build keeps Gigabit links clean next to power cabling. Part number 8060-003 (EAN 4014619771967) identifies this exact length and colour, so you can reorder identical cords when you extend a cabinet or colour-code a new VLAN.

Before you buy
At 0.25 m this is a rack jumper only. It is a Cat 6 / 250 MHz cord — right for Gigabit, and 2.5/5GBASE-T over this short length, but choose Cat 6A for guaranteed 10 GbE. The jacket is PVC, not LSZH. Conductors are copper-clad aluminium (CCA), so use a solid-copper cord for PoE devices.

Key Features

RNS latch-lug guard
Good Connections' RNS boot covers the release lug, the part that breaks first on cheap patch cords in busy cabinets.

Fully screened S/FTP PiMF
Foil around each pair plus an overall braid suppress crosstalk and interference from adjacent power and fan cables.

Colour-coded jumpers
Available in many colours at the same length, so uplinks, servers, phones and VLANs can be told apart at a glance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the 8060-003 work with my switch, router or patch panel?
Yes. It is a standard RJ45-to-RJ45 Cat 6 patch cord wired straight-through (T568B), so it connects any Ethernet port to any other — switches, routers, NAS units, access points, patch panels and PCs. Modern ports auto-negotiate speed and handle crossover automatically.
Is a 0.25 m cable long enough?
At 0.25 m (25 cm) it is a jumper, not a room cable: it is sized for linking a patch panel to the switch directly above or below it, or two stacked switches, without slack loops cluttering the cabinet. For desk or wall-outlet runs choose 1–3 m instead.
What is the difference between the 8060-003 and the Good Connections 8070R Cat 6A cord?
The 8060-003 is Cat 6 S/FTP (250 MHz, Gigabit) with a PVC jacket. The 8070R series uses Cat 7 raw cable with Cat 6A plugs for 500 MHz / 10 Gbps. For 1 GbE patching the 8060-003 is enough; for 10 GbE switches choose 8070R.
Singular Expert Insight
We like the 8060 RNS series for tidy Gigabit racks: the latch-lug guard really does save cords, and the colour range makes documentation easy. If your switches are 10 GbE, step up to the Good Connections 8070R Cat 6A family for full headroom. Browse the full range of network cables for other lengths and colours, or pair it with our network switches.

Buyer's Guide

Buy it if
You patch Gigabit switches and panels and want screened, colour-coded jumpers whose latches will not break.
Skip it if
You need guaranteed 10 GbE, PoE power over the cord (CCA conductors), or halogen-free LSZH jackets.
Also consider
Good Connections 8070R (Cat 7 raw / Cat 6A plugs, 10 GbE) or EFB EC0202000 Cat 6A LSZH jumpers.
