The Good Connections GC-N0089 is a pack of two 1U 19-inch rack shelves, 300 mm deep and fixed to the front rails only, made for placing non-rackable devices such as routers, modems, small NAS units and power supplies in wall cabinets and network cabinets.

Because the shelf hangs from the front 19-inch rails alone, it does not need a rear rail plane — which is exactly what most wall cabinets lack. The perforated 1.5 mm powder-coated steel lets heat rise through the shelf instead of trapping it under the device, and the black RAL 9005 finish matches standard black cabinets.

• Heavy equipment: without rear support the shelf is a cantilever and no load rating is published — do not stand a UPS or server on it.
• Cabinets without standard 19-inch front rails: the fixing holes sit 465 mm apart (centre to centre), the 19-inch standard.
• Devices deeper than roughly 300 mm will overhang the rear edge of the shelf.
• Sliding or pull-out use: these are fixed shelves.
