The Good Connections 2831-AC005S is a 0.5 m USB-A to USB-C cable with up to 10 Gbit/s (USB 3.2 Gen 2) data transfer and a 3 A current rating (stated in the official product name), made for anyone connecting a USB-C phone, tablet, drive or accessory to a computer, charger, car socket or hub that has USB-A ports.
At 10 Gbit/s a portable NVMe SSD can run at roughly 1,000 MB/s on a 10 Gbit/s port — about twice what a 5 Gbit/s cable allows. Plugged into a 5 Gbit/s or USB 2.0 port it simply runs at that port's speed.
Before you order, check two things: the socket on your device must be USB-C (not Micro-USB or Lightning), and the port you plug into must be USB-A. If both your charger and your device are USB-C, a USB-C to USB-C cable is the better buy because it supports USB Power Delivery.
Before you order: USB-A carries no USB Power Delivery and no video. How fast a device charges depends on the USB-A port or charger you plug into — the cable cannot add watts the port does not supply.

- Not a Thunderbolt or USB4 cable, and it will not turn a USB-A port into a USB-C port for USB-C-only chargers.
