A classic click-lock school satchel with a football theme
17 litresUnder 900 g empty4-piece setOrafol reflectiveRemovable hip beltAdjustable chest strap
The Loop is Herlitz's traditional-shape school satchel: a rigid form with a flap and a click-lock closure, a stable base plate on plastic feet so it stands up on its own, and a classic pocket layout that a six-year-old can learn in a day. The Plus version is a four-piece set - the satchel plus a two-flap pencil case, an oval slip-in pouch and a drawstring sports bag - all in the Cyber Soccer football design. It holds 17 litres and weighs under 900 grams empty.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a school satchel, not a laptop bag. Herlitz publishes no laptop compartment, no tablet compartment and no padded device sleeve for the Loop line - the main compartment has an integrated book divider and that is the extent of it. If you need something to carry a laptop or tablet, this is not the right product and we would rather tell you here. One more thing worth knowing before you order: the pencil case in this set is supplied empty. Several German retailers advertise the same article number as a filled ten-piece set; Herlitz publishes a four-piece set with an unfilled case.
Best For
✓ You want the classic rigid satchel shape with a flap and click-lock rather than a soft rucksack
✓ Road safety matters: Orafol high-reflective material on the front, sides and shoulder straps, plus a reflector built into the click-lock
✓ You want a removable hip belt as well as a chest strap, so the load can sit on the hips on longer walks
✓ You want the full set in one box: satchel, two-flap pencil case, oval pouch and sports bag
✓ Your child wants a football design
✓ You want a satchel that stands up on its own thanks to a stable base plate with plastic feet
Key Features
17 litres in the classic satchel shape
Herlitz's own model comparison puts the Loop at 17 litres. For reference: UltraLight 16 L, SoftLight GREENline 18 L, FiloActive 19 L, FiloActive XL 21 L, UltraLight XL 22 L.
Under 900 grams empty
Herlitz publishes "unter 900 g" for the empty satchel. Retailer figures of 850 g and 950 g are both in circulation; we use the manufacturer's wording.
Click-lock with an integrated reflector
The flap closes with a click-lock a child can operate one-handed, and Herlitz builds a reflector into the lock itself - the part that faces oncoming traffic when the bag is worn.
Orafol high-reflective material
High-reflective Orafol material on the front, the sides and the shoulder straps.
Removable hip belt and adjustable chest strap
Padded height-adjustable shoulder straps, a height-adjustable removable chest strap, and a removable hip belt so the weight can be transferred off the shoulders on longer walks.
Two side mesh pockets
Elasticated side mesh pockets for a bottle on each side, plus a front zip pocket.
Tear-resistant polyester with water-repellent finish
A tear-resistant polyester shell with a water-repellent impregnation. It sheds rain; it is not waterproof and no rating is published.

Singular Expert Insight
Two things about this set that retailers routinely get wrong. First, the piece count: Herlitz builds a four-piece Loop Plus set with an unfilled pencil case, yet several German shops list the same article number as a ten-piece filled set. If you are comparing prices across sites, make sure you are comparing the same box. Second, DIN 58124: it is easy to assume every school satchel carries it, but Herlitz marks that standard only against FiloActive DIN and SoftLight GREENline in its own model comparison. The Loop's safety case rests on Orafol high-reflective material on the front, sides and straps plus a reflector in the click-lock, which is real and useful, and we will describe it as exactly that rather than borrow a certification the manufacturer does not claim. On the practical side, the removable hip belt is the Loop's quiet advantage over the lighter UltraLight models.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
In stock at Singular in Cyprus. Order online for delivery across the island, or contact us for school and volume orders.
Skip it if
Skip it if you were expecting a filled pencil case - Herlitz supplies it empty, and listings claiming a ten-piece filled set are adding contents themselves. Skip it if you specifically need DIN 58124 certification, which Herlitz claims for the FiloActive DIN and SoftLight GREENline models but not for the Loop. And skip it if you need more than 17 litres, in which case the UltraLight XL at 22 litres is the bigger option in the same catalogue.
