Honeywell Granit XP 1990iXR — Ultra-Rugged FlexRange 2D Scanner
FlexRange: near to 10 mIP65 / IP672 m drop · 7,000 tumbles−30 to +50 °C
The Honeywell Granit XP 1990iXR is an ultra-rugged corded 2D area-imaging barcode scanner with FlexRange extended-range optics, built for warehouses, distribution centres and manufacturing floors that need to read labels at arm’s length and on high racking.
A 1280 × 800 imager with 4500 mm/s motion tolerance reads 1D, PDF417, 2D, postal, DotCode and Digimarc codes, from a 13 mil UPC at contact distance up to 1.5 m, and 100 mil Code 39 rack labels up to 10 m. The housing is sealed to IP65/IP67, survives 50 drops from 2 m and works down to −30 °C.
Before you order: This SKU is the scanner only: no interface cable is included. Order a USB, RS-232 or keyboard-wedge cable for Granit XP corded scanners (see below), plus a 5 V power supply for RS-232 or keyboard wedge.
What's in the Box

- Interface cable: not included — order separately
What It Means in Practice
- One scanner covers close-up picking labels and high-rack location labels without switching devices.
- Corded USB needs no external power; RS-232 and keyboard wedge need a 5 V power supply.
- Freezer-friendly: rated to −30 °C operation (use the industrial-grade cable for cold environments).
- Handles dirty, damaged and low-contrast labels typical of logistics (minimum 20% print contrast).
What Will Not Work
- Direct Part Marking (DPM) codes: Honeywell does not list DPM for this model.
- Wireless use: this is the corded model (the cordless one is the 1991iXR).

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The 1990iXR is the scanner to choose when one device must read both pick labels at hand level and rack labels several metres up, in dust, rain or cold. Budget for the cable and, if needed, a holster or stand. Cables are in
our scanner accessories and cables.
✓ Buy it if you need a corded, near-indestructible scanner for warehouse or forklift work with long-range reading.
✕ Skip it if you need DPM reading, a cordless scanner, or a light retail scanner.
→ Also consider the Granit XP 1991iXR cordless version, and a Honeywell USB cable CBL-500-300-S00.
