Honeywell ScanPal EDA61K — rugged Android keypad terminal with 34-key numeric keypad and 2D imager
34-key numericN6703 2D imager3GB / 32GBIP65 · 7,000 mAh
The Honeywell ScanPal EDA61K (EDA61K-0NC934PEOK) is a rugged, Wi-Fi-only Android mobile computer with a physical 34-key numeric keypad, a 4-inch touchscreen and an N6703 standard-range 1D/2D imager, made for warehouse picking, goods-in, inventory counts and light manufacturing where staff key in data as often as they scan. The numeric keypad keeps quantities and location codes quick to enter, even with gloves.
It runs Android 9 on a Qualcomm octa-core 1.8 GHz platform with 3GB RAM and 32GB flash, connects over 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, and carries a hot-swappable 7,000 mAh battery for long shifts. It is sealed to IP65, rated for 1.5 m drops to concrete and includes a 13MP autofocus camera with flash for photos and documents.
Before you order: Honeywell lists the EDA61K as discontinued: product discontinuation 1 June 2027, service and support until 1 June 2028; the suggested successor is the Honeywell CK62. No charger, cable or home base is included.

- Rechargeable 3.6 V Li-ion battery (7,000 mAh)

What It Means in Practice
- The 7,000 mAh battery is hot-swappable: a spare battery keeps the terminal running through double shifts.
- The N6703 imager reads 1D and 2D barcodes, including QR and DataMatrix, at typical picking distances.
- The 34-key numeric keypad is faster and more reliable than a touch keyboard when hands are cold or gloved.
- Charging is through the EDA61K home base, the 4-bay charging base or a USB-C cable — plan which one you need per user or per shift.
What Will Not Work
- No charger, USB cable or home base in the box — order the EDA61K home base, 4-bay charging base or USB-C cable with power adapter separately.
- No mobile network: this is the WLAN-only EDA61K-0 model, so it cannot use a SIM, mobile data or calls.
- It ships with Android 9; apps that require a newer Android version will not install.
- This is the standard-range imager — it is not designed to scan labels several metres away on high racking (that needs the EX20 extended-range version).

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The EDA61K is a dependable, keypad-first Android terminal at a sensible price for warehouses that already standardise on it or need extra units for an existing fleet. Because it is at the end of its life cycle, it makes most sense for top-ups and short-to-mid-term projects; for a new rollout over several years, compare the CK62. Good scanning also depends on stable Wi-Fi in every aisle — see our
business Wi-Fi access points.
✓ Buy it if you are adding units to an existing EDA61K fleet, or need an affordable keypad terminal with 2D scanning for Wi-Fi-covered sites.
✕ Skip it if you are planning a multi-year rollout (choose a current model such as the CK62), need mobile data, or scan at long range.
→ Also consider the Honeywell CK62 as the successor, and the EDA61K alphanumeric keypad version if your users mostly type letters.
