Honeywell PM45 — 4-inch industrial label printer, 300 dpi, touch display and internal rewinder
Industrial 4-inch300 dpi · thermal transferInternal rewinderTouch display
The Honeywell PM45 (PM45A10000030300) is a 4-inch industrial thermal transfer label printer with a full-colour touch display, printing at 300 dpi and up to 300 mm per second for manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and retail distribution labels that need small text and dense barcodes.
This configuration is fitted with an internal rewinder and a label-taken sensor, so printed labels can be wound back onto a roll or printed one at a time on demand. It connects over Ethernet, USB, USB Host and RS-232 serial, and understands Honeywell Fingerprint, Direct Protocol, IPL and DPL as well as ZSim2 for ZPL-II, so it can replace Zebra or Datamax printers without redesigning labels.
Before you order: Ethernet on the PM45 is 10/100 Mbps (some distributor listings say Gigabit). Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and RFID are not part of this configuration — they are optional kits.
What's in the Box
- Honeywell PM45 printer (PM45A10000030300)
- Full box contents are not published by Honeywell — ask us to confirm cables and power cord for your order
What It Means in Practice
- 300 dpi gives sharp small text, 2D codes and GS1 labels for pharma, electronics and component marking.
- The internal rewinder winds printed labels back onto a roll for applicators or later use; the label-taken sensor prints the next label only when the previous one is removed.
- Large media rolls (up to 213 mm) and 450 m ribbons mean fewer stops on the line.
- ZSim2 lets it run existing ZPL-II label formats from your ERP or WMS.
What Will Not Work
- No Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or RFID as supplied — they are add-on kits.
- Ribbons longer than 450 m or larger than 80 mm in diameter do not fit.
- Media wider than 114 mm or rolls larger than 213 mm OD do not fit.
- A cutter is a separate option — check with us before combining it with the rewinder.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The PM45 is a strong mid-range industrial printer when 300 dpi detail and a rewinder are needed and you want to keep existing ZPL or Intermec label formats. As a network printer, it is happiest on a reliable wired network — we also supply
network switches.
✓ Buy it if you print high volumes of small, dense 300 dpi labels and need rewind or print-on-demand with a label-taken sensor.
✕ Skip it if you only need tear-off labels at 203 dpi — a standard PM45 or a lighter industrial printer costs less.
→ Also consider Honeywell 450 m wax/resin ribbons and the PM45 Wi-Fi/Bluetooth kit.
Send us your label sizes, ribbon type and print software — we will confirm the configuration before you order.
