The HP 147X is an original black toner cartridge rated at ~25,200 pages (ISO/IEC 19752), made for the HP LaserJet Enterprise M611/M612 and MFP M635/M636 series.
It is a JetIntelligence cartridge with page maximiser, print gauge and HP anti-fraud technology.
Before you order: HP does not list the 147X for the LaserJet Enterprise M610 or MFP M634. For those, order the 147A (W1470A).

What It Means in Practice
- The rated ~25,200 pages is measured with the ISO test pages, which cover about 5% of each page. Dense graphics, solid areas or photos use more toner, so your real page count can be lower; short text memos can give more.
- Higher-yield cartridges cost more up front but usually work out cheaper per page and mean fewer swaps on busy printers.
- Swapping takes about a minute: open the front door, pull out the empty cartridge, remove the packing and tape from the new one and slide it in until it clicks. The printer reads the chip and shows the remaining level on its panel or web page.
- Store spare cartridges sealed in the original bag and box, lying flat, away from heat and direct sunlight, and open them only when you are ready to install.
What Will Not Work
- It will not fit printers outside the list in the specification table, even if they look similar (for example the LaserJet Enterprise M610 and MFP M634, which take only the 147A).
