HP Series 5 Pro 524pm — 23.8" USB-C Conferencing Monitor with 5MP IR Webcam and 100W Charging
5MP IR pop-up webcamUSB-C · 100W PDRJ45 · KVM · DP-out4x 3W speakers · dual mics
The HP Series 5 Pro 524pm is a 23.8-inch Full HD IPS conferencing monitor that combines a 5MP pop-up IR webcam, dual noise-reducing microphones, four 3W speakers and a USB-C docking hub with up to 100W charging. One cable from a laptop gives you the screen, camera, audio, network and peripherals for video calls.
The webcam supports Windows Hello face sign-in, tilts for framing and retracts for privacy; the mics use AI-based (DNN) noise reduction and the monitor is Zoom certified and Microsoft Teams compatible. The 100Hz panel, 100% sRGB and TÜV-certified HP Eye Ease low blue light make it comfortable for long days.
Before you order: Only the main USB-C port carries video and up to 100W charging, and the laptop's USB-C must support DisplayPort Alt Mode. An HDMI cable is not included. The power cord supplied depends on the regional version of 9E0G9UT — ask us if you need a specific plug.
What's in the Box
- HP 524pm monitor with stand
- DisplayPort cable
- USB-C to USB-C cable
- USB-A to USB-B cable
- AC power cord — the power supply is built in
- Quick setup poster and warranty card
What It Means in Practice
- One USB-C cable from the laptop: video, 100W charging, webcam, mics, speakers, USB hub and Ethernet.
- Smart KVM lets you control two computers (for example, a laptop on USB-C and a desktop on USB-B) with one keyboard and mouse.
- Use the DisplayPort output to add a second screen.
- The 5MP camera (2592 x 1944 at 30fps, 80° field of view) tilts -20° to +5° and pops down for privacy.
- The stand adjusts 150mm in height, tilts -5° to 23°, swivels ±45° and pivots ±90°.
What Will Not Work
- The second USB-C port is a data/15W port — it does not carry video or charge a laptop.
- Laptops without DisplayPort Alt Mode will not display over USB-C; use HDMI or DisplayPort instead.
- HP does not publish adaptive sync or HDR — this is a business, not gaming, display.
- Windows Hello face recognition is Windows-only.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I still need a separate webcam or speakerphone?
For one person at a desk, no — the 5MP camera, dual mics and four speakers are designed to replace them for Teams and Zoom calls.
Will it charge my laptop?
Yes, up to 100W over the main USB-C port, which covers most business laptops.
What is the KVM for?
If you have a laptop and a desktop on one desk, the KVM switches the monitor's keyboard and mouse between them, so you need only one set.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The 524pm is an all-in-one meeting desk on a compact 24" footprint: camera, mics, speakers, 100W docking, LAN and KVM. It is especially good value for hybrid teams that would otherwise buy a separate webcam, speakerphone and dock. For larger desks or dual screens, see our
PC monitors.
✓ Buy it if you want a single-cable conferencing workstation with a quality camera, mics, speakers and 100W charging.
✕ Skip it if you need a larger or higher-resolution screen, or a laptop requiring over 100W.
→ Also consider the Philips 272S1MH (27" with pop-up webcam, no USB-C) or the Dell Pro 27 Plus P2725HE (27" USB-C hub, no camera).
