HP 746 DesignJet Ink Cartridge 300 ml Photo Black, Pigment-based, Original HP, for DesignJet Z6, Z6dr, Z9+, Z9+dr

The HP 746 300-ml Photo Black DesignJet Ink Cartridge is an original HP pigment-based cartridge holding 300 ml of photo black ink for the HP DesignJet Z6 PostScript 24-in and 44-in, Z6dr 44-in PostScript with V-Trimmer, Z9+ PostScript 24-in and 44-in, Z9+dr 44-in PostScript with V-Trimmer and DesignJet HD Pro MFP (as listed by HP). It is aimed at photo labs, poster and fine-art studios and retail-graphics producers using HP Z-series pigment printers.

The Z6 and Z9+ run HP 746 pigment inks, each colour in its own cartridge; the HP 746 printhead (P2V25A) is a separate part.

• Photo black is the black used on glossy and satin photo media, giving deep blacks in images where matte black would look dull.
• The 300 ml size is the high-capacity option: fewer cartridge changes and fewer interrupted long jobs than the smaller sizes.
• The printer tracks ink level per cartridge, so you replace only this colour when the printer reports it low.
• Keep the cartridge sealed until you install it and store it at room temperature; the HP supplies warranty runs to the Warranty Ends date shown on the cartridge.

• HP DesignJet T-series CAD printers — they take HP 727, HP 728 or HP 730
• HP PageWide XL printers — different ink system
