The HP ScanJet Pro 3000 s4 is an A4 sheet-feed document scanner that scans both sides at 40 pages (80 images) per minute from a 50-sheet feeder, built for offices, accounts teams and service desks scanning up to 4,000 pages a day from one workstation. It suits accounts departments, medical and legal offices and service desks where one person processes large stacks every day.

Its CMOS CIS sensor and LED light source scan at up to 600 dpi, and the feeder takes paper from 40 to 210 g/m² plus plastic cards up to 1.24 mm thick, with documents up to 3.1 m long. It connects over USB 3.0 and includes HP TWAIN, WIA and OpenText ISIS drivers for professional document software. HP Scan adds one-touch profiles, OCR and export to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and searchable PDF, while document separation by blank page or barcode splits batches into individual files. Support for Windows, macOS, Linux and Citrix makes it easy to fit into mixed IT environments. HP lists Windows 7 to 11, macOS 10.13 to 10.15, Linux and Citrix; newer macOS versions should be checked with us before ordering, and we confirm the current driver.

Before you order: USB only: the 3000 s4 has no Ethernet or Wi-Fi and no touchscreen, so it must be connected to a computer. For network and walk-up scanning choose the ScanJet Pro N4000 snw1. With trays open it needs about 41 cm of depth.

  • Power input is listed as 220-240 VAC, matching Cyprus mains, so it is not a travel scanner.
  • Not for photo archives; use a flatbed photo scanner for prints.

At 300 x 172 x 154 mm closed, the scanner delivers high-volume speed without taking a large part of the desk. With the trays folded it can sit on a shelf or the corner of a desk between jobs. Fold the output tray when not in use to save desk space.

Yes. HP includes an OpenText ISIS driver as well as TWAIN and WIA, which covers most professional capture packages.
How much space does it need while scanning?

Is the N4000 snw1 the same scanner?
