HP Travel 25 L Laptop Backpack — Expands to 30 L, 15.6″, 100% Recycled Polyester
25 L, expands to 30 LMax device 360 x 226 x 20 mm100% recycled polyesterCarry-on compatible
The HP Travel 25 Liter laptop backpack, part number 6H2D8AA, is a 25-litre pack that expands to 30 litres when you need the extra room, for laptops up to 15.6 inches. HP publishes a maximum device size of 360 x 226 x 20 mm, so you can check your machine before ordering rather than after. The external material is 100% recycled polyester — HP quantifies it as 13 fewer plastic bottles — and it is water resistant. There are five compartment types including an expandable section, an RFID-blocking external pocket, a water-bottle pocket, reflective material, a sternum strap, a trolley pass-through and lockable zippers on the main compartment. It is carry-on compatible and weighs 0.86 kg. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Check the published maximum device size: HP states 360 x 226 x 20 mm for this backpack alongside the 15.6-inch rating. The 20 mm depth is the figure that catches people out — a thicker 15.6″ machine may not fit even though the diagonal matches. Warranty conflict: HP’s own worldwide specification sheet for this part states a three-year limited warranty while HP’s Irish product page states 1 year for the same part number. We do not pick one and present it as fact. Confusable part number: HP also sells 6B8U4AA with an identical product name and identical published specifications. If a supplier quotes one and ships the other, the bag is the same — but order by part number. Not published: HP publishes no tracker pocket for the 6H2D8AA (that appears on the 6B8U4AA datasheet only), no air-mesh back-panel claim, no puncture-proof zip claim, no USB port and no rain cover. Lockable zippers, lock not supplied.
Best For
✓ Overnight and short business trips where 25 litres is not always enough
✓ Commuters who want a carry-on-compatible pack with a sternum strap
✓ Buyers who want a documented 100% recycled external fabric
✓ Anyone who wants an RFID pocket and a water-bottle pocket as standard
Key Features
25 litres that becomes 30
The expandable compartment takes the pack from 320 x 170 x 440 mm at 25 litres to 320 x 245 x 440 mm at 30 litres. That is the difference between a day bag and an overnight bag without owning two bags.
100% recycled external material
HP states 100% post-consumer recycled plastic in the external material, quantified as 13 fewer plastic bottles. The interior lining is 100% polyester and the padding is EPE foam. The packaging is also 100% recycled.
Built for travel
Carry-on compatible, with a trolley pass-through, a sternum strap, an ergonomic multi-handle carry system and a padded back panel. Reflective material improves visibility, and lockable zippers secure the main compartment.
Five compartment types
Expandable, laptop, document, main and accessories compartments, with a padded laptop pocket and a pen loop inside, and an RFID-blocking pocket, two quick-access pockets and a water-bottle or umbrella pocket outside.

Singular Expert Insight
Expandable backpacks are a genuinely useful category and an under-served one: most packs are a fixed size, so you either carry more bag than you need every day or you own two. Twenty-five litres expanding to thirty covers commuting and an overnight trip in one product, and HP has put the travel hardware in to match — carry-on compatibility, a sternum strap, a trolley pass-through and a water-bottle pocket. The recycled claim is at the strong end: 100% post-consumer recycled plastic in the external material, quantified in bottles. Two cautions. HP’s own sources contradict each other on warranty length for this exact part number, three years versus one, so treat any confident claim with scepticism. And 20 mm is the published maximum laptop thickness, which is slim — check your machine rather than trusting the 15.6″ label. Browse the rest of our laptop backpacks and cases, and a spare charger is worth having if this is your travel bag.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want one bag that works for the daily commute and an overnight trip, with a documented 100% recycled external fabric, an RFID pocket, a sternum strap and carry-on compatibility for a 15.6-inch laptop.
Skip it if
Your laptop is thicker than 20 mm or larger than 15.6 inches, or you need a tracker pocket, a rain cover or a single definitive warranty figure before ordering.
Also consider
HP part 6B8U4AA is the same bag under a different part number. HP also makes an 18-litre version of the Travel 15.6-inch backpack and a Travel Plus 30L 17-inch model if you need a different size.
