The HPE S0T04A is a 4-port 1/10G SFP+ expansion module for the HPE FlexNetwork (Comware) 5140 HI, 5520 HI and 5600 HI switch series. It goes into the expansion slot at the back of the switch and adds four SFP+ ports that run at 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps, for fibre uplinks or direct-attach copper cables. HPE now lists it as the “HPE Networking Comware Module 4-port 1/10G SFP+”. In practice it gives a HI access switch extra 10G uplinks or server connections without replacing the switch.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Only for switches with the HI expansion slot: HPE lists the 5140 HI models R9L61A–R9L64A, the 5520 HI models R8M25A–R8M29A and the 5600 HI models S0S34A and S0S35A. It does not fit the 5140 EI or switches without a slot. SFP/SFP+ transceivers or DAC cables are ordered separately. The 8-port version S0T03A fits only the 5520 HI and 5600 HI, not the 5140 HI.
