The ICY BOX IB-HUB1403B is an in-desk USB 3.0 hub that drops into a standard 60 mm cable grommet hole and brings two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports and two 3.5 mm audio jacks to the desk surface. It connects to the PC under the desk with a fixed 120 cm USB-A cable, so flash drives, phones, a headset and other USB devices plug in at the desk instead of behind the computer.
The four USB ports run at USB 3.0 speed (5Gbps), driven by a Fresco Logic FL5001 hub chip. The two 3.5 mm sockets (headphone and microphone) are passed through on their own cables with 3.5 mm plugs to the computer's audio jacks. The hub is bus-powered and also has a DC input for an optional power supply when connected devices need more charging power.
Before you order: The desk must have (or get) a 60 mm round hole, and the PC needs a free USB-A port plus 3.5 mm headphone and microphone jacks for the audio to work. The USB-C ports are data/charging ports on a USB 3.0 hub — they do not carry video.

- Mounting depth is 58 mm and the 60 mm grommet still lets other cables pass through.

What Will Not Work
- Video from the USB-C ports to a monitor — this is a USB 3.0 data hub, not a dock.
- Charging laptops via USB-C Power Delivery.
- Desks without a 60 mm hole (a hole must be cut first).
- Computers with only USB-C ports, without an adapter — the host cable is USB-A.
