i-tec SOLOMON 300 4K Webcam with 92° Field of View
The i-tec SOLOMON 300 4K Webcam (CAMSOLOMON4K300) is a plug-and-play USB webcam with an 8.29 MP 1/3" CMOS sensor that records 3840 × 2160 at 30 fps or 1920 × 1080 at 60 fps, aimed at home offices and desks that want sharper video than a laptop camera for Teams, Zoom or Meet calls.
A 92° field of view frames one person comfortably with some background, or two people sitting close together. It has a built-in microphone, a privacy shutter and a fixed USB-A cable with a USB-C adapter in the box, so it connects to both older PCs and current laptops without drivers.
What's in the Box
- i-tec SOLOMON 300 4K webcam with integrated USB-A cable (145 cm)
- USB-A to USB-C adapter
- User manual
What It Means in Practice
- Plugs into a free USB-A port, or into USB-C, USB4 or Thunderbolt 3/4/5 through the included adapter — no driver installation.
- For video calls choose 1080p at 60 fps if you want smoother motion; 4K is limited to 30 fps.
- Fixed focus keeps faces sharp at normal desk distance; very close objects held up to the lens will not refocus.
- The built-in microphone picks up voice up to 3 m — fine for one person at a desk; for a meeting room a dedicated speakerphone works better.
- The clip fits monitors and laptop lids with rubber pads, and the 1/4" thread takes a standard tripod.
What Will Not Work
- No autofocus — not ideal for showing documents or small products close to the camera; i-tec’s SOLOMON 4K500 adds PDAF autofocus.
- 4K only at 30 fps — no 4K 60 fps.
- Not a conference-room camera: no pan/tilt/zoom, no speaker, single microphone.
- Needs a USB port on the device — it will not connect wirelessly.
