Before you buy — compatibility
Video requires a host USB-C, USB4 or Thunderbolt port with DisplayPort Alt Mode. Multi-display uses MST — Multi-Stream Transport — which works on Windows but NOT on macOS, where the dock is limited to a single external (mirrored) display. Maximum resolutions depend on your host: a single monitor reaches up to 5K 60 Hz (DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC) or 4K 60 Hz (DP 1.4); dual monitors up to 2x 4K 60 Hz (DSC) or 2x 4K 30 Hz; triple up to 3x 4K 30 Hz (DSC).
