Before you order: This exact model is a 1D laser scanner. It does not read QR or other 2D codes and is not intended for barcodes shown on screens. The advertised 100m range applies to the 2.4GHz receiver in open conditions; Bluetooth is rated up to 40m in open conditions. Walls, interference and host hardware reduce usable range.
