INCA IBK-579BT — Folding Bluetooth Keyboard, Metallic Silver

Folds in half179 g40-day batteryCase included

The INCA IBK-579BT is a folding Bluetooth keyboard, and that is the whole point of it: open it out to 294 × 85 × 7 mm to type properly, fold it to 146 × 85 × 14 mm and it goes in a jacket pocket. It weighs 179 g. The body is aluminium alloy and ABS with an oxidised lower shell that resists scratching, and the keys use a scissor mechanism with ultra-thin keycaps — 66 keys with 14 multimedia functions on FN combinations. It links over Bluetooth 3.0, runs from a built-in 180 mAh lithium battery that INCA rates at around 40 days per full charge, and INCA lists it for Windows, Android, iOS, tablets and Bluetooth-capable TVs. In the box: keyboard, micro-USB charging cable, carrying case, phone stand and manual.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Layout: German QWERTZ swaps Y and Z, puts Ü, Ö, Ä and ß on dedicated keys and moves most symbols and brackets compared with a US or UK keyboard. Choose it only if you type in German; for English use in Cyprus ask us for the US or UK version of the same model. This is a Bluetooth 3.0 keyboard, so the device needs Bluetooth — a desktop without it needs an adapter — and it will not work in the BIOS before the operating system loads. Understand the format before you order: 66 keys in a folding shell means no numeric keypad, a compressed function row, and a small hinge gap down the middle of the board, so it is a travel keyboard, not a desk keyboard. There is no backlight. INCA publishes no layout at all for this part number, no key travel or key-life rating, no Bluetooth range, no charging time and no multi-device pairing count. One correction worth making: some listings describe this as having an American Broadcom Bluetooth chipset — INCA publishes no chipset vendor whatsoever, so we do not repeat that claim. INCA’s own colour for it is metallic silver, not black.

Best For

✓ Travelling with a tablet or a phone instead of a laptop
✓ Hot desks and cafes where the bag has to stay small
✓ Typing on a Bluetooth-capable TV or a media box
✓ Anyone who dictates or types long messages on a phone
✓ Site visits and field work
✓ A spare keyboard that lives in a drawer or a glovebox

Key Features

It folds, and it is 179 g
Open 294 mm to type, folded 146 mm to carry — the reason to choose this over any ordinary compact keyboard.

Metal, not just plastic
An aluminium alloy body with an oxidised, scratch-resistant lower shell, so it survives being carried loose.

Forty days per charge
A built-in 180 mAh lithium battery INCA rates at around 40 days on a full charge — charged over micro-USB, no batteries to buy.

Case and phone stand included
INCA puts a carrying case and a phone bracket in the box, so the keyboard and the phone travel as one kit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it a full keyboard?
No. It is 66 keys in a folding shell — no numeric pad, a compressed function row and a hinge down the middle. It is built to travel, not to replace a desk keyboard.
Will it work with an iPad or an Android phone?
Yes. INCA lists Windows, Android, iOS, tablets and Bluetooth-capable TVs. It pairs like any Bluetooth keyboard.
Does it have a Broadcom chipset?
INCA publishes no chipset vendor at all. The only manufacturer-backed fact is Bluetooth 3.0, so that is all we print.
Which layout does it have?
INCA does not publish a layout for this part number. Tell us what you need and we will check the actual stock before you order.
Singular Expert Insight
This is a travel keyboard and should be judged as one: it folds, it is metal, it weighs 179 g and it lasts about six weeks per charge. For a desk, buy something full size. See our keyboards.
