Intellinet 2-Fan Roof Ventilation Unit for 19" Wallmount Cabinets
2 × 120 mm fans85 m³/h airflow24.9 dB(A)1.8 m EU plug
The Intellinet 716154 is a roof-mounted ventilation unit with two 120 mm fans that pulls warm air out of a 19-inch wallmount cabinet, moving 85 m³/h at a quiet 24.9 dB(A) — built for small offices, shops and comms closets where a switch, router, NVR or patch panel runs around the clock in a closed box.
It runs straight from mains power through a 1.8 m cord with a European CEE 7/7 (Type E+F, Schuko) plug, so there is no separate controller or low-voltage supply to install. The simplest setup is a Schuko socket on the PDU inside the cabinet. Intellinet rates it for ambient temperatures from −10 °C up to 50 °C.
Before you order: This version runs continuously — it has no thermostat. If you want the fans to start only above a set temperature, you need the thermostat model (Intellinet 716383), not this one. Intellinet does not publish the roof cut-out size, so for a non-Intellinet cabinet send us the cabinet model and we will check the fan opening first.
What's in the Box
- 1 × 2-fan roof ventilation unit (two 120 × 120 × 38 mm fans)
- 1 × power cable, 1.8 m, CEE 7/7 (Type E+F) plug
- 1 × earthing kit

What It Means in Practice
- Warm air rises: fitting the fans in the cabinet roof removes it where it collects, which is the most effective spot in a wallmount enclosure.
- 85 m³/h is enough for a typical small cabinet with a switch, router and a few PoE devices; it replaces the trapped air many times a minute.
- At 24.9 dB(A) it is suitable for offices and reception areas where a louder fan would be noticed.
- Because it runs whenever powered, plug it into a switched socket or PDU outlet if you want to turn it off without opening the cabinet.
What Will Not Work
- It will not cool below room temperature — it exchanges air with the room, it is not an air conditioner. A cabinet in a hot, unventilated closet stays hot.
- It will not plug directly into a Cyprus wall socket (UK BS 1363 type) — use a Schuko socket on a rack PDU or a suitable adapter.
- It will not fit a cabinet without a fan opening in the roof, and Intellinet does not publish the cut-out dimensions.
- It has no thermostat, speed control or alarm output — use the 716383 thermostat version if you need temperature switching.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
In small wallmount cabinets the usual failure is heat, not load: a PoE switch and an NVR in a closed 9U box can run far warmer than the room. A roof fan unit like this is the cheapest fix, provided the room itself is ventilated. If the cabinet also holds a PoE switch, check its power budget and heat output on our network switches pages when you plan the cabinet.
✓ Buy it if you have an Intellinet or standard 19" wallmount cabinet with a roof fan opening and want quiet, always-on extraction.
✕ Skip it if you need thermostat control (choose 716383) or your cabinet has no roof fan opening.
→ Also consider Intellinet 716383 (same unit with thermostat) if the cabinet sits in a room that is cool most of the day.
Not sure it fits your cabinet? Send us the cabinet brand and model and we will check the roof opening before you order.
