Intellinet OS2 LC to SC Duplex Fiber Patch Cable, 1 m
OS2 Single-modeLC – SC1 mDuplex · LSZH
The Intellinet 473965 is a 1 m OS2 single-mode duplex fibre patch cable with LC and SC connectors, made for single-mode links between LR transceivers, patch panels and media converters.
It uses OS2 single-mode 9/125 µm fibre in a LSZH jacket of 3 mm, colour-coded yellow so the fibre type is recognisable in the rack.
Before you order: This is single-mode with UPC connectors. Multimode SR optics and APC (green) FTTH sockets need a different cord.
What's in the Box
- 1 × fibre optic patch cable (bag packaging)
What It Means in Practice
- Single-mode OS2 is the fibre for long links: LR/LX optics run kilometres, and it is the fibre used for FTTH/GPON service connections.
- Connectors: LC on one end, SC on the other — a hybrid cord for joining LC ports to SC ports. LC: LC (small-form-factor latch connector, used on SFP, SFP+, SFP28 and most duplex QSFP optics); SC: SC (square push-pull connector, common on patch panels, media converters, older switches and FTTH equipment).
- Length: a short 1 m run is meant for patching inside the same rack — panel to switch or switch to switch.
- If the link stays dark, the usual cause is polarity (transmit to transmit): swap the two legs at one end.
- LSZH jacket: low smoke and zero halogen when exposed to fire — the jacket normally required in offices, data rooms and public buildings.
What Will Not Work
- Multimode optics (SR/SX, e.g. 10GBASE-SR, 1000BASE-SX) — they need OM3/OM4/OM5 multimode cords, not OS2.
- APC ports (green), such as many FTTH wall outlets and ONTs — they need an APC cord; a UPC plug into an APC socket gives high loss.
- Ports other than LC and SC — the ends do not fit other connector types without a hybrid cord or adapter; check both ends of your link before ordering.
- Single-fibre BiDi optics with a simplex port — they take one fibre; use a simplex cord there.
- RJ45/copper ports — this cable carries light, so both ends need fibre ports or optical transceivers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Most fibre problems we see are mismatches, not faulty cables: multimode on a single-mode optic, UPC into an APC socket, or LC ordered for an SC panel. Check the label on your transceiver and the connector on your panel, then pick fibre type, connectors and length to match. For the active side, see our switches with SFP ports.
✓ Buy it if you need a 1 m OS2 LC to SC duplex link for LR/LX optics or UPC panels.
✕ Skip it if your transceivers are multimode (SR/SX), your ports are not LC/SC, or your sockets are APC.
→ Also consider The same type of cord in a different length or connector combination, or SFP/SFP+ transceivers matching the fibre — tell us your equipment and we will suggest the exact code.
Not sure it fits your setup? Send us the model of your rack, switch or device and we will check compatibility before you order.
