Intellinet 561495 — 95 W PoE++ for one high-power device

IEEE 802.3bt · 95 WUPoE modeGigabitInternal PSU

The Intellinet 561495 (IPI-95G) is a single-port Gigabit PoE++ injector that delivers up to 95 W over all four pairs of an Ethernet cable. It powers the devices a normal PoE+ port cannot: PTZ cameras with heaters, Wi-Fi 6E/7 access points, digital signage, thin clients and LED lighting controllers.

A DIP switch selects the operating mode: IEEE 802.3bt for fully compliant devices, Cisco UPoE (802.3at-based, up to 60 W on four pairs) and a Legacy 802.3bt mode for devices that do not fully follow the standard. The power supply is internal, so the injector connects to the mains with a power cable; data passes at 10/100/1000 Mbps.

Before you order: Set the DIP switch to match the powered device before connecting it. A wrong mode is the usual reason a high-power device does not start.

What It Means in Practice

  • Lets one high-power device run from a switch without PoE, or from a switch whose PoE+ ports stop at 30 W.
  • Also powers ordinary 802.3af/at devices, so it remains useful if the device changes later.
  • Four-pair delivery (pins 3/4/5/6 positive, 1/2/7/8 negative) keeps cable losses lower at high power.
  • Use Cat5e or better for Gigabit and full power over 100 m.

What Will Not Work

  • It is not a switch and has only one PoE output.
  • It does not convert PoE to 12 V or 24 V DC for non-PoE devices.
  • It is not rated for hot cabinets — operating range is 0 °C to 40 °C.
  • The mode is not automatic between UPoE and 802.3bt: the DIP switch must be set.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which mode should I choose?
802.3bt for current compliant devices; UPoE for Cisco UPoE equipment; Legacy 802.3bt only if a device does not start in 802.3bt mode.
Can it power a normal 30 W camera?
Yes. 802.3af and 802.3at devices are detected and receive only the power they request.
Does it need a separate power adapter?
No. The power supply is inside; it connects to the mains with the supplied power cable.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Most PoE problems with PTZ cameras and new access points come from a 30 W port feeding a 45–70 W device. One 95 W injector fixes that without replacing the switch. For high-power devices to pair with it, see our Wi-Fi access points.
✓ Buy it if one device needs more than 30 W of PoE and your switch cannot supply it.
✕ Skip it if your device is 802.3at (30 W) or less — a PoE+ injector costs less.
→ Also consider a 30 W Gigabit PoE+ injector for standard access points and cameras.
Not sure it fits your setup? Send us the model of your rack, switch or device and we will check compatibility before you order.
