The Inter-Tech IPC 3U-30765 is a 3U, 19 inch rackmount server case that takes motherboards up to E-ATX and SSI EEB (330 × 305 mm) and holds ten 3.5 inch drives in two removable, tool-free cages. It is a good base for a self-built file server, backup target, NAS or workstation-class server that needs many disks in a rack.
Five 120 mm fans come fitted — two at the front and three on a centre fan bar — plus two 60 mm fans at the rear, so airflow runs front to back across the drives and board. The case uses a standard ATX power supply (not included) and has five expansion slots and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port on the front.
Before you order: CPU coolers are limited to 105 mm height, so tall tower coolers will not fit — plan a low-profile cooler. The drive cages are tool-free internal cages, not hot-swap bays with a backplane.
