Inter-Tech ArgusNT HA-850BA3 — 850W fully modular ATX 3.1, 80 PLUS Platinum

850W ATX 3.180 PLUS PlatinumFully modular8× SATA

The Inter-Tech ArgusNT HA-850BA3 is an 850W fully modular ATX 3.1 power supply with 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency, suited to gaming PCs and workstations that combine a modern PCIe 5.x graphics card with plenty of drives.

Inter-Tech publishes 89.8/91.9/92.2/90.0% efficiency at 230V for 10/20/50/100% load. The +12V output is rated at 70.8A, there is a 600W 12V-2x6 cable for current GPUs, eight SATA connectors, and the fan is temperature-controlled between 0 and 1200rpm. Protections include OPP, OCP, OVP, SCP, no-load protection and over-temperature.

Before you order: Inter-Tech names the GPU cable "12V-2x6". It fits graphics cards with a 12VHPWR or 12V-2x6 socket; seat the plug fully until it clicks.

What's in the Box

  • Inter-Tech ArgusNT HA-850BA3 power supply
  • Modular connection cables (all black)
  • AC power cord
  • Mounting screws and cable ties
  • Manual

What It Means in Practice

  • Fully modular: connect only the cables you need, which keeps airflow clean and makes later upgrades easier.
  • Eight SATA connectors cover multi-drive builds, NAS-style home servers and workstations.
  • Wide 100–240V input with active PFC (>0.97).
  • At light load the fan can stop completely, so idle and desktop work stay silent.

What Will Not Work

  • The 165mm depth is longer than a 140mm ATX unit — check PSU clearance in compact cases.
  • It is not an SFX unit and will not fit small-form-factor cases.
  • Inter-Tech does not publish the fan size or bearing type.
  • Do not reuse modular cables from other PSU brands — pinouts differ and can damage components.

No. Only use the cables supplied with this unit.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Platinum efficiency is worth it for PCs that run long hours — rendering, compiling or always-on home servers — where the lower heat and power draw add up. Compare wattage classes in our PC power supplies range.
✓ Buy it if you want an 850W fully modular ATX 3.1 unit with lots of SATA connectors and wide-range input.
✕ Skip it if your case only takes short (140mm) or SFX power supplies.
→ Also consider the Inter-Tech Argus HA-850BA4 (Gold) if you prefer a longer warranty term over Platinum efficiency.
Send us your case model and we will check the 165mm PSU clearance before you order.
