The Jabra Engage 65 SE Stereo (9659-553-111) is a dual-ear DECT wireless headset supplied with a desk base station, not a USB dongle. That base is the whole point of the model: it connects one USB device — a computer softphone, or a USB desk phone — and one analog desk telephone at the same time, so a single headset covers both lines on the desk. The DECT link runs at Security Step C with FIPS-approved algorithms, reaches up to 150 m line of sight, and gives up to 13 hours of talk time on a charge. A red busylight sits both on the headset and on the tip of the microphone boom, so colleagues can see you are on a call from either side.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Answering a desk-phone call while away from the desk needs an extra accessory. The base connects your analog telephone, but Jabra states plainly that remote call control — picking up and hanging up the desk phone from the headset while you are across the room — requires a handset lifter or an EHS cable, and neither is in the box. Tell us the make and model of your desk phone and we will tell you which one it takes. There is no Bluetooth and no mobile-phone connection on this model; everything runs through the base. It is also not the Engage 55 SE. The 55 SE is the dongle-only version with no base and no desk-phone port — a different product despite the near-identical name. Finally, the noise cancelling is on the microphone; the earcups do not cancel room noise for you.

The base takes up to two devices at once: one USB device such as a computer or a USB desk phone, plus one analog telephone. You switch between them on the base instead of swapping headsets.

The Engage 65 SE exists for one reason: the desk that still has a telephone on it. If your users only ever dial from the computer, the Engage 55 SE gives you the same headset without the base and costs less, and both sit side by side in Office & VoIP Headsets. Where the 65 SE earns its price is the reception desk, the dispatcher or the finance line that must keep an analog phone alive next to Teams. One warning worth acting on before you order: if the point of buying wireless is to walk away from the desk and still answer the phone, budget for the handset lifter or EHS cable at the same time — it is not in the box and it is phone-specific. And if what your people actually want is quiet for themselves rather than reach, DECT is the wrong tool; ANC Bluetooth models, or the listening-only options in Headphones, are the better buy.

Buy it if

Skip it if
You never touch a desk phone — then the Engage 55 SE is the same headset without the base you are paying for. Skip it too if you need Bluetooth or a mobile connection, which this model does not have, or if you expected remote desk-phone answering to work out of the box without a lifter or EHS cable.
Also consider
