Jabra Evolve3 85 MS — Boom-Free Over-Ear ANC Headset with Link 390 USB-C

Adaptive ANC, 6 micsUp to 120 h music3.5 mm cable includedMicrosoft Teams version

The Jabra Evolve3 85 MS (38599-999-898) is a boom-free, over-ear Bluetooth headset with adaptive active noise cancellation and six digital microphones, for people who take calls all day and want the same headset for focus work and travel. This warm gray order code ships with the Jabra Link 390 USB-C Bluetooth adapter, a 3.5 mm audio cable, a USB-C to USB-C cable and a carry case. It weighs 220 g, runs up to 25 hours on calls or 120 hours on music, and its battery can be replaced by the user.

Compatibility — check before buying:
No wireless charging pad in this box — the headset supports Qi charging, but the pad is sold separately (14203-09 USB-A / 14203-08 USB-C). The Link 390 adapter is USB-C only; there is no USB-A adapter in the box. The 3.5 mm cable is for listening: plugged in, it switches off the headset microphone and Bluetooth, so calls need Bluetooth or the dongle. This is the MS version for Microsoft Teams. Warm Gray exists only as this MS USB-C version. Easy to mix up: 38599-999-898 (Warm Gray) and 38599-999-889 (Black, with charging pad). Tell us your setup and we will confirm.

Best For

✓ Hybrid workers who want one headset for calls, focus and travel
✓ Open offices where adaptive ANC keeps calls clear
✓ Microsoft Teams users
✓ Laptops with USB-C ports
✓ Long flights — up to 55 h music with ANC on
✓ People who dislike a boom arm in front of the mouth

Key Features

Boom-free voice pickup
Six digital MEMS microphones with Jabra ClearVoice and deep-learning noise reduction isolate your voice, with wind-noise reduction for calls outdoors. No boom arm sits in front of your face.

Adaptive ANC, also on calls
Jabra Advanced ANC adapts to your surroundings and keeps working during calls. HearThrough lets the room in, and spatial sound widens music and meetings.

Battery for a working week
Up to 25 hours of talk (21 hours with ANC and busylight on) and 120 hours of music (55 hours with ANC). Charge by cable in up to 180 minutes, or on an optional Qi pad.

Designed to be serviced
The battery is user-replaceable (spare pack 14151-11) and ear cushions are sold as spares (14102-23), so worn parts do not retire the headset.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a charging pad included?
No. 38599-999-898 ships without the wireless charging pad. The headset supports Qi charging, so you can add Jabra’s pad later (14203-09 USB-A or 14203-08 USB-C), or simply charge from the USB-C cable in the box.
Can I take calls over the 3.5 mm cable?
No — plugging in the 3.5 mm cable switches off the headset microphone and Bluetooth. It is meant for listening, for example to in-flight entertainment. For calls, use Bluetooth or the Link 390 adapter.
What is the difference from the Evolve3 75?
The Evolve3 85 is over-ear rather than on-ear, weighs 220 g instead of 180 g, runs longer (25 h talk and 120 h music against 22 h and 110 h) and includes a 3.5 mm cable, which the Evolve3 75 does not have.
Does it work with Zoom?
Yes. The MS version is certified for Microsoft Teams, and the Evolve3 85 family also lists Zoom and Google Meet certification, so it works as a standard headset in other call apps too.
Singular Expert Insight
The Evolve3 85 replaces the Evolve2 85’s boom arm with six microphones and cuts the weight from 286 g to 220 g, while adding wireless charging, LE Audio and a user-replaceable battery. Choose the Evolve2 85 if you prefer a physical boom mic; choose the Evolve3 75 if you want the same technology on-ear and lighter at 180 g. See the whole range in our office and VoIP headsets. Not sure about USB-A or USB-C? Tell us your laptop model and we will check.
