Jabra Evolve 30 II UC Stereo — Wired Office Headset with Busylight
Stereo on-ear, 28 mmUSB-A plus 3.5 mmIntegrated busylightUC variant
The Jabra Evolve 30 II UC Stereo, order code 5399-829-309, is a corded office headset built for open-plan desks. Both ears are covered, so you can concentrate through the noise around you. It plugs in over USB-A through an in-line call-control unit with large buttons, and an integrated busylight tells colleagues not to interrupt. The headset itself terminates in a 3.5 mm plug that lifts out of the controller.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Check the connector before you order. This is the USB-A build. Jabra sells the same headset in both USB-A (order codes ending 309) and USB-C/A (ending 369) forms, and our distributor feed gives both the same short name — so the order code is the only reliable way to tell them apart. The UC designation matters just as much: the Microsoft Teams button and the Teams notification LED live in the control unit, not in the headset. An MS unit on a Cisco or Avaya-only desk gives no benefit, and a UC unit in a Teams office loses the Teams key and the presence light. One more thing Jabra states plainly: despite the 3.5 mm jack, this headset is not supported on mobiles and tablets — it is a deskphone and softphone product.
Best For
✓ Open-plan offices and contact centres
✓ Desks where colleagues need a visible do-not-disturb signal
✓ Concentration work in a noisy office
✓ Fleet rollouts that need one repeatable order code
✓ All-day wear at well under 150 g on the head
✓ Sites standardising on wired headsets rather than wireless
Key Features
28 mm speakers with a wideband voice path
Jabra publishes a 150 Hz to 7,000 Hz speech range and a 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz music range, with 10 mW maximum input. Wideband on calls, and usable for music between them.
Noise-cancelling boom microphone
An electret condenser uni-directional element that rejects the room so the person on the other end hears you rather than your office. The boom lifts up out of the way when the headset is not in use.
Busylight and a real control unit
The in-line unit carries answer and reject, volume up and down, and mute, with large buttons and LED indicators. The integrated busylight turns on with the call so nobody taps you on the shoulder mid-sentence.
Hearing protection built in
Jabra lists PeakStop, SafeTone, G616 and EU Noise at Work compliance on this model — protection against sudden level spikes and against cumulative exposure across a working day.

Singular Expert Insight
The Evolve 30 II is the sensible middle of Jabra’s wired range: a proper in-line control unit, a busylight that actually stops people interrupting, and hearing protection, without paying for wireless. Two things decide whether you have ordered the right one, and neither is visible in a product photo. The order-code ending tells you the plug — 309 is USB-A, 369 is USB-C/A — and the MS or UC block tells you whether the control unit has a Teams button. Get those two right and the rest of the range is identical. Worth knowing before you commit: Jabra does not support this headset on phones or tablets. If you need that, or you need to leave the desk mid-call, look at our office and VoIP headsets range for a wireless model, or the wider headphones selection. Tell us how many seats you are fitting and which softphone, and we will confirm the exact code.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You are fitting desks on a UC platform such as Cisco, Avaya, Unify or Zoom, the machines have USB-A, and you want a wired headset with a busylight and real buttons rather than software controls.
Skip it if
Your machines use the other connector, or your softphone is Microsoft Teams — the MS variant with the Teams button is the correct build. Also skip it if users need to take calls on a mobile, which Jabra does not support here.
Also consider
The mono Evolve 30 II UC (5393-829-309) if one ear should stay open, and the USB-C/A code 5399-829-369 if the desks run USB-C.
