Jabra Evolve 40 Link UC — USB-A Controller with Busylight
Evolve 40USB-ABusylightUC softphones
The Jabra Evolve 40 Link UC (14208-04) is the inline USB-A control unit for the Jabra Evolve 40 headset — a replacement or spare for users whose controller is lost or damaged, or who want to keep the Evolve 40 working on a PC softphone.
The Evolve 40 headset plugs into the controller by its 3.5 mm jack, and the controller connects to the PC by USB-A. Jabra lists mute, volume up/down, answer/end/reject and a red busylight that shows colleagues you are on a call.
Before you order: This is the UC version for the Evolve 40. A Microsoft Teams version exists under a different part number. It does not connect to desk phones.
What's in the Box
- Jabra Evolve 40 Link UC USB-A controller (Jabra does not publish a fuller box list)
What It Means in Practice

- The busylight turns red during calls to reduce interruptions.
- Unplugging the headset during a call puts the call on hold (Jabra).
What Will Not Work

- It does not connect to desk phones.
- It does not add Bluetooth or wireless.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A replacement Link controller brings a working Evolve 40 headset back to full call control for much less than a new headset. See our office and VoIP headsets if the headset itself needs replacing.
✓ Buy it if you have Evolve 40 headsets and need a USB-A UC controller.
✕ Skip it if you need the Teams version or use a different headset.
→ Also consider a current Jabra Evolve2 headset if you are replacing old Evolve 40 units.
Not sure it fits? Send us your headset model and desk phone and we will confirm the right part before you order.
