Jabra PanaCast SpeakerMic — extend PanaCast 55 VBS audio to the far end of the table
For PanaCast 55 VBS4 microphones60 mm speakerCat6 up to 30 m
The Jabra PanaCast SpeakerMic (8900-100) is a wired table speaker and microphone unit that extends the audio coverage of a Jabra PanaCast 55 VBS video bar in medium and large rooms.
Jabra states it extends the bar's audio pickup from 7 m to 11 m, so people at the far end of a long table are heard as clearly as those next to the screen.
Before you order: Jabra publishes the SpeakerMic for the PanaCast 55 VBS (one SpeakerMic per bar). It is not a USB speakerphone for a laptop and is not listed for the PanaCast 40 or 50 VBS.
What's in the Box
- Jabra PanaCast SpeakerMic
- Mounting plate
- SpeakerMic Adapter (RJ45 to USB-C)
- 3 x table adhesive pads
- Installation leaflet
- Cat6 cable is not included
What It Means in Practice
- Four omnidirectional microphones with noise reduction sit where the people are, not at the far wall.
- A 60 mm speaker brings the remote side's voices to the end of the table.
- A single Cat6 cable runs up to 30 m from the table to the adapter at the bar — easy to route under floors or through table boxes.
- Volume and mute buttons are on the unit itself.
- Managed with the rest of the room in Jabra Plus, Teams Admin Center or Zoom Device Management.
What Will Not Work
- It will not work as a standalone PC or laptop speakerphone.
- Not published for PanaCast 40 VBS or PanaCast 50 VBS — only the PanaCast 55 VBS.
- Only one SpeakerMic is supported per PanaCast 55 VBS.
- No Cat6 cable in the box — order one to the length you need.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The SpeakerMic is the fix for the classic long-table problem: the bar hears the front of the room, the back of the room goes quiet. Plan the cable route first — a solid Cat6 cable of the right length is not in the box, and running it through the table before the installer arrives saves a second visit.
✓ Buy it if you have a PanaCast 55 VBS and people at the far end of the table are hard to hear.
✕ Skip it if your bar is a PanaCast 40 or 50 VBS, or you want a USB speakerphone for a laptop.
→ Also consider the Jabra PanaCast Room Kit, which bundles the 55 VBS with a SpeakerMic.
Not sure your room needs it? Tell us the room length and bar model and we will check the audio coverage with you.
