Jabra PanaCast U30 — BYOD Video Bar for Small Meeting Rooms (UC, EMEA)
4K camera, 120° field of view6 mics + speaker, rooms up to 6 peopleOne USB-C cable to any laptopIntelligent framing, Virtual Director
The Jabra PanaCast U30 is an all-in-one video bar for small meeting rooms: a 4K camera with a 120-degree horizontal field of view, six microphones and a speaker in one 53 cm bar that connects to whichever laptop is brought into the room over a single USB-C cable. Jabra’s intelligent framing and Virtual Director keep the people in the room in shot, and the bar itself runs Android 13 so it can be managed centrally with Jabra+ and the Jabra Web Console. This is the EMEA UC version, part number 8800-231, EAN 5706991035575, sized by Jabra for rooms of up to six people; a wall mount and privacy cover are in the box. It is the simplest way to turn a huddle room into a Teams, Zoom or Meet room without a dedicated room PC. Tell us the room size and the platform and we will confirm the U30 fits.
Compatibility — check before buying:
BYOD means the meeting runs on the laptop you plug in: the U30 appears as a USB camera, microphone and speaker, so any Teams, Zoom or Google Meet client on Windows or macOS works. The laptop needs a USB-C port (the 1.8 m USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 cable is included) — a USB-A-only laptop needs an adapter that carries data. HDMI, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 are on the bar for management and future modes, not for replacing the laptop. Jabra’s datasheet notes that Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms certification were pending as of May 2026 — ask us for the current status before specifying it for a certified room. The wall mount is included; the table stand is a separate accessory. Sized for rooms of up to six people; larger rooms need the PanaCast 50 family.
Best For
✓ Huddle rooms and small meeting rooms for 2 to 6 people
✓ Companies standardising on bring-your-own-laptop meetings
✓ Rooms used on Teams one day and Zoom the next
✓ IT teams that want central management of room devices
✓ Replacing a webcam-plus-speakerphone pairing with one bar
✓ Rooms with a wall behind the display for the included mount
Key Features
4K, 120 degrees, everyone in frame
The 4K camera covers 120 degrees horizontally (61 vertical, 132 diagonal), with 3x lossless zoom at 720p and 6x digital. Intelligent conversation framing and Virtual Director follow the discussion around the table.
Six mics and a speaker in the bar
Six microphones with echo cancellation and noise suppression pick up the whole room, and a full-range speaker (80 Hz to 20 kHz) plays the far end back. Nothing else to place on the table.
One cable, managed centrally
Plug the laptop into the single USB-C port and the room is ready. The bar runs Android 13 and is managed through Jabra+, the Jabra Web Console or Jabra Direct Online, with HDMI, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 on board.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the PanaCast U30 need a room PC?
No. It is a BYOD bar: the meeting runs on the laptop you plug in over USB-C, and the U30 provides camera, microphones and speaker.
Is it certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms?
Jabra’s datasheet lists Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms certification as pending as of May 2026. As a USB device it works with Teams, Zoom and Meet today; ask us for the current certification status.
How big a room does it cover?
Jabra sizes it for up to six people. For larger rooms look at the PanaCast 50 range.
What is the difference between 8800-231 and 8800-232?
Same product; 8800-231 is the EMEA variant with the regional power cable, 8800-232 the North American one.
Singular Expert Insight
The U30 is the right answer for the small room that everyone brings a laptop into: one bar, one cable, no room PC to maintain. Specify it for a certified Teams Rooms deployment only once Jabra confirms the certification. See the rest of our video conferencing range for larger rooms, and ask us to size the room.
