The KeySonic KSK-3230IN (28113) is a sealed silicone keyboard for places where an ordinary one would not last a season: cold stores, wet production lines, workshops, vehicles, laboratories and clinical rooms. The whole body is silicone rubber and rated IP68 — dust-tight and protected against immersion — so it is wiped with a disinfectant cloth or rinsed rather than replaced. It fits 87 keys plus 12 function keys into a mini body of just 272 × 135 mm at 12 mm high, weighing 248 g, so it goes on a trolley shelf, a rack drawer or a machine console where a full keyboard will not. KeySonic rates it for operation from −20 to +70 °C, which covers freezer rooms as well as hot workshops, and about 2 million strokes per key. It plugs into any USB port with a 1.8 m cable and needs no drivers. This article number is the US International layout in black.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Plug and play over USB 2.0 Type-A with a 1.8 m cable, powered from the port and following standard HID, so it also types on macOS and Linux although KeySonic lists Windows. There is no touchpad on this model — you still need a mouse, and in a wet or dusty area that mouse needs to be sealed too; if you want pointing built in, choose the KSK-5031IN, which is the same mini idea with a 43 × 27 mm touchpad. There is no numeric keypad and no backlight. The silicone keys give a soft, damped keystroke with no click: excellent under gloves, but slower than an office keyboard for continuous prose, and rated at about 2 million strokes rather than the tens of millions an office board manages. It is wired only. IP68 means it survives washing and immersion — dry it before use, and do not put it in a dishwasher or autoclave.
