Kingston Canvas Go! Plus microSDXC 64GB — U3 / V30 card for 4K cameras, drones and phones
64GB microSDXCU3 · V30 · A2200/100 MB/sCard only
The Kingston Canvas Go! Plus 64GB (SDCG4/64GBSP) is a microSDXC memory card rated Class 10, UHS-I U3, V30 and A2, with up to 200 MB/s read and 100 MB/s write, for action cameras, drones, 4K-capable phones and handheld consoles. This is the single-pack version without an SD adapter, meant to live permanently in a microSD slot.
The U3 / V30 rating is what matters for video: it guarantees the sustained write that 4K recording needs, so the camera does not drop frames or stop. The 200 MB/s read figure is a Kingston measurement with its own MobileLite Plus reader; in ordinary UHS-I readers expect roughly half of that when you offload footage.
Before you order: An SDXC card (64 GB and larger): it needs a device that supports microSDXC — look for the logo or check the manual. Devices that support only SDHC (32 GB maximum, common in cameras, car radios and phones made before about 2011) cannot read it, even after formatting. There is no SD adapter in the box: for a full-size SD slot you need a microSD-to-SD adapter or a reader with a microSD slot.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Kingston Canvas Go! Plus microSDXC card, 64GB
- No SD adapter (card only)
What It Means in Practice
- V30 / U3 means a guaranteed minimum sustained write of 30 MB/s — the rating most 4K cameras, drones and action cameras ask for.
- A2 (min. 4000 read / 2000 write IOPS) helps when apps run from the card on Android; the full A2 benefit needs a phone or tablet that supports A2, otherwise it behaves like A1.
- The up to 200 MB/s read figure is the maximum measured by Kingston with a fast host (200 MB/s needs the Kingston MobileLite Plus reader; standard UHS-I readers top out around 100 MB/s); in a USB 2.0 reader or an older device real speed is much lower.
- Usable capacity is a little below 64GB because part of the card is used for formatting and management — this is normal for every memory card.
- It comes formatted as exFAT. For best reliability, format it once in the device that will use it (camera, phone, recorder) before the first recording.
- 64GB holds roughly an hour or more of 4K footage depending on the bitrate of your camera — for long trips or high-bitrate drones consider a larger card.
What Will Not Work
- Devices limited to SDHC (32 GB maximum) — they will not recognise the card.
- Full-size SD slots without a separate adapter — the card fits only microSD slots.
- UHS-II speeds — this is a UHS-I card; UHS-II cameras and readers run it at UHS-I speed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it work in my device?
An SDXC card (64 GB and larger): it needs a device that supports microSDXC — look for the logo or check the manual. Devices that support only SDHC (32 GB maximum, common in cameras, car radios and phones made before about 2011) cannot read it, even after formatting.
Is an SD adapter included?
No, this version is the card alone. If you need to use it in a full-size SD slot, add a microSD-to-SD adapter or use a card reader with a microSD slot.
Why does my computer show less than 64GB?
Card makers count 1 GB as 1,000,000,000 bytes while Windows and macOS count in binary units, and part of the card is reserved for formatting and wear management. A 64GB card therefore shows somewhat less — that is not a fault.
Do I need the MobileLite Plus reader?
No. The card works in any UHS-I microSD device or reader. The reader only matters if you want to offload files at the full 200 MB/s Kingston quotes.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Canvas Go! Plus is Kingston's card for cameras and drones: U3 / V30 covers 4K recording and A2 helps apps on Android. Buy the SP version when the card stays in a microSD device; if you also shoot with a full-size SD camera, the version with an adapter is more practical. Need a reader for it? See our
card readers.
✓ Buy it if your action camera, drone or phone records 4K and asks for U3 / V30, and the card will stay in a microSD slot.
✕ Skip it if you need an SD adapter in the box, or your device supports only SDHC (32 GB maximum).
→ Also consider SDCG4/64GB — the same card with an SD adapter; Kingston Canvas Go! Plus SD (SDG4/64GB) for cameras with a full-size SD slot.
