The KIOXIA EXCERIA PRO G2 2TB (2,048GB) (LVE10Z2T04G8) is an M.2 2280 NVMe SSD on PCIe 5.0 x4 that reads at up to 14,900 MB/s and writes at up to 13,400 MB/s, made for enthusiasts, creators and workstations on PCIe 5.0 platforms.
EXCERIA PRO G2 is the fastest line of KIOXIA’s EXCERIA consumer range, built on TLC flash for 4K/8K editing, large project files and fast game loading.
Before you order: Full speed needs an M.2 slot wired for PCIe 5.0 x4 (for example AMD X670E/X870E or Intel Z790/Z890 boards — check which slot in your manual). In a PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 slot the drive works, but at that slot's speed. No heatsink is included; use your motherboard's M.2 heatsink.

- Single-sided 2.38 mm design fits slim laptops and boards with M.2 shields; 8.4 W typical active power — Gen5 drives run warm, so airflow or a heatsink keeps speeds stable.
- It uses TLC NAND with a controller cache design KIOXIA does not detail, a good fit for mixed everyday and creative workloads.
What Will Not Work
- SATA-only M.2 slots (B+M key SATA) — the drive is NVMe and will not be detected
- M.2 slots limited to 2230 or 2242 length — this is a full 80 mm 2280 drive
- Gen5 speeds in a PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 slot — it falls back to the slot speed
- Systems without NVMe boot support (very old BIOS) — usable as a data drive only
