KMP Yellow Ink Cartridge for HP 953XL — 30 ml, up to 2,000 Pages
Replaces HP 953XL yellowYellow · 30 mlUp to 2,000 pagesChip fitted
The KMP 1748,4009 is a compatible yellow ink cartridge that replaces the HP 953XL yellow (F6U18AE), with 30 ml of ink for up to 2,000 pages (ISO/IEC 24711) in HP OfficeJet Pro 7720, 7730, 7740, 8210, 8710, 8720, 8730 and related models.
It is aimed at offices running these OfficeJet Pro business inkjets that want XL-size capacity at a lower cost than the original. KMP Printtechnik AG, a German manufacturer of compatible supplies, publishes the fill volume, yield and printer list for this exact article.
Before you order: HP OfficeJet Pro printers with HP dynamic security firmware, or enrolled in HP+ (model names ending in "e"), can refuse cartridges with non-HP chips. If your printer is an HP+ model or has recently updated its firmware, send us the model before ordering.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Yellow ink cartridge (30 ml, up to 2,000 pages)
What It Means in Practice
- Replace only the yellow cartridge when it runs out — the four colours are separate in these printers.
- Up to 2,000 ISO pages per cartridge, the same yield class as the original 953XL colour cartridges.
- The chip is what the printer reads to accept the cartridge and to track ink use.
- Dense colour graphics and photos use more ink than the ISO test page, so real-world yield varies.
What Will Not Work
- HP+ models (names ending in "e") and printers whose firmware blocks non-HP chips.
- Printers that use a different HP cartridge series, for example HP 950/951 in the older OfficeJet Pro 8600 models.
- HP OfficeJet Pro models outside the compatibility list below — ask us to check.
- This is one yellow cartridge; black and the other colours are sold separately.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
For OfficeJet Pro 7740/8710/8720 fleets the 953XL colours are a recurring cost, and this KMP yellow cartridge gives the same published 2,000-page yield class. Check that the printer is not an HP+ model first; then browse our compatible ink range for the matching colours, or compare with the original HP cartridges.
✓ Buy it if you run a non-HP+ OfficeJet Pro 7700/8200/8700 series printer and want to cut colour cost.
✕ Skip it if your printer is an HP+ model or rejects non-HP chips — choose the original HP 953XL.
→ Also consider the KMP 953XL cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges or the matching black from our compatible range.
Not sure which cartridge your printer takes? Send us the printer model, or the number printed on your current cartridge, and we will confirm the right one before you order.
