The KMP H160 is a compatible black ink cartridge that replaces the HP 62 (C2P04AE) in HP Envy 5540/5640/7640 and OfficeJet 200, 250, 5740 and 8040 printers, with 4 ml of ink for up to 200 pages (ISO/IEC 24711). It is made for home and small-office users who print regularly on these machines and want a lower cost per page than with the original.

KMP Printtechnik AG is a German manufacturer of printer consumables, and this is a KMP product rather than an original HP cartridge. It goes into the same slot as the original, so the other colour slots of your printer are not affected.

• The 200-page figure is measured to ISO/IEC 24711 on a standard test page set. Pages with photos, large graphics or dense shading use more ink, so expect fewer pages with that kind of printing.
• Your printer may show a notice that a non-original cartridge is installed. Confirm the message and printing continues as normal.
• Keep the cartridge in its sealed pack until you need it and install it soon after opening, so the ink does not dry at the nozzles or contacts.

• Printers that are not in the compatibility list below. Models with similar names can take a different cartridge, so check the exact model.
• The HP 62XL capacity: this is the standard-size HP 62 equivalent (4 ml, 200 pages). If you print a lot, the XL size costs less per page.
• Colour printing: pair it with an HP 62 tri-colour cartridge.
• HP printers whose firmware blocks non-HP cartridges (HP Dynamic Security). If your printer updates its firmware automatically, send us the model and we will check first.
