Lanberg Waterproof RJ45 Inline Coupler — Cat 6 FTP, IP67
IP67Cat 6 FTPRJ45 – RJ45Outdoor / PoE
The Lanberg AD-RJ45-OS6-IP67 is a waterproof RJ45 inline coupler, Cat 6 FTP, in an IP67-rated black ABS housing, for joining two network cables where water can reach the joint — outdoor CCTV cameras, IPTV, PoE access points and outdoor installations. It is for installers who need a sealed joint without a junction box.
The shielded (FTP) design accepts both shielded and unshielded plugs, and Lanberg gives the housing extra internal space so most plug types fit. The body measures 104.3 x 26.4 x 26.4 mm.
Before you order: IP67 protection depends on the seals being closed correctly around the cable on both sides. Lanberg says most plug types fit; very bulky or booted plugs may not — if in doubt, send us the plug or cable type.
What's in the Box
- 1 x RJ45 inline coupler Cat 6 FTP, IP67, black (contents beyond the coupler are not listed by Lanberg)
What It Means in Practice
- Joins two RJ45-terminated cables outdoors — e.g. a camera pigtail to a longer outdoor run
- Passes PoE: it is a passive socket-to-socket connection
- Suits Cat 5, Cat 5e and Cat 6 links (Lanberg lists all three)
- Avoids a separate junction box for a single cable joint
What Will Not Work
- Not a keystone or wall module — it sits inline on the cable
- Not a splitter or crossover — it is a straight 1:1 joint
- Waterproofing fails if the seals are left open or the cable diameter does not match
- Not for permanent burial in soil — Lanberg rates it IP67, not for direct burial

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Outdoor cable joints are where most camera and access-point faults start — water creeps into an open coupler and corrodes the contacts. A sealed IP67 coupler is a small cost compared with a truck roll. For the runs themselves, use outdoor-rated network cables.
✓ Buy it if you need to join two network cables outdoors or in a wet area, especially for PoE cameras.
✕ Skip it if the joint is indoors — a standard coupler is enough — or you need a wall or panel module.
→ Also consider the Digitus shielded CAT 6 coupler pack for indoor joints, or a single outdoor cable of the right length.
