The Lanberg SC01-6502-12B is a 2U 19-inch rackmount server chassis that takes motherboards up to E-ATX and SSI CEB, with room for up to six 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch drives. It is aimed at system builders and IT teams who want to build their own server, NAS or firewall appliance in a standard rack.
The case is made from 1.2 mm galvanised steel, measures 650 x 430 x 89 mm (D x W x H) and weighs 9.4 kg. Seven 80 mm PWM fans come pre-installed, and the front panel has two USB 3.0 ports, power and reset buttons, status LEDs, a key lock and a removable dust filter.
Before you order: The power supply and rack rails are not included. The chassis accepts ATX, SFX and Flex ATX power supplies (adapters in the box), and in 2U it only takes low-profile expansion cards and CPU coolers up to 72 mm high.

What It Means in Practice
- You can build a rack server around a standard desktop or workstation motherboard, up to E-ATX size.
- Several PSU adapters in the box let you use an ATX, SFX or Flex ATX power supply, so you are not tied to one expensive server PSU format.
- Seven PWM fans connected through the supplied splitters let the motherboard control fan speed and noise.
- The front dust filter can be removed for cleaning without opening the case.
What Will Not Work
- Full-height expansion cards and full-size graphics cards - the 2U height allows low-profile cards only.
- Tower CPU coolers taller than 72 mm - use a low-profile or 2U server cooler.
- Hot-swap drive bays - drives are fixed internally and the chassis must be opened to change them.
- Racks with less than 650 mm usable depth, or installations without rails or a shelf - rails are not included.
