The LANCOM 1800EF-4G (article number 62164) is a business SD-WAN gateway that combines fibre, Ethernet and 4G connectivity for highly available site networking. Aimed at branches and businesses moving to fibre, it offers a fibre SFP port for FTTH, flexible Gigabit Ethernet WAN options and an LTE Advanced modem for automatic backup — all secured with IPsec VPN and the German-engineered LCOS operating system. Before you buy
This is the EF (Ethernet/Fibre) model without a built-in DSL modem: it connects to fibre via the SFP port (GPON/AON transceiver sold separately) or to an external modem over Gigabit Ethernet. 4G backup requires a compatible SIM and data plan (not included). Two SMA connectors accept the supplied LTE dipole antennas or LANCOM AirLancer antennas. It runs LANCOM Operating System (LCOS).
