The LANCOM VPN 25 Option (item number 60083) is a software licence that raises the VPN capacity of a supported Rohde & Schwarz LANCOM router to 25 channels, without new hardware. The manufacturer states that the option expands both IPsec and WireGuard tunnels, and it includes IKEv2-EAP and Smart Certificate. It is activated with a licence key that is registered on the LANCOM website, and a 30-day demo licence is available for testing. In practice it lets a branch router connect more sites, home offices or mobile users over VPN.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Check your router model before ordering. The datasheet lists the LANCOM 18xx and 17xx series and IAP and OAP routers, while the current product page lists the 1800 and 1900 series and the 2100EF for the VPN 25 Option — the two sources differ. ISG gateways use their own Site Options. It is a licence only and does not work on non-LANCOM routers. Whether the 25 channels are added to or replace the built-in channels is not published.
