The LANCOM WLC AP Upgrade +6 Option (item 61629) is a software licence that lets a LANCOM WLAN controller or router with controller function manage six more access points or WLAN routers. According to the datasheet it adds to the 12 devices of the 1800 series, 30 of the 1900 series, or 60 of the 2100EF and WLC-60. Licences are cumulative up to each device’s maximum: on an 1800 series router one +6 licence takes it from 12 to 18; on a 1900 series up to four licences reach 30; on a WLC-60 or 2100EF up to nine reach 60. In practice it is the small step when a site adds a few more access points.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Routers need the WLC Basic Option for Routers first — the +6 option does not turn a router into a controller on its own. It is not for the WLC-2000, which uses the +10, +25, +100 and +500 options. Check your device and current AP count before ordering. Tell us the model and how many APs you manage and we choose the right licence.
