R&S®LANCOM ISG Site Option 500

500 channelsISG-5000IPsec + WireGuardLicence key

The LANCOM ISG Site Option 500 (item 61402) is a software licence that raises the number of VPN channels on a LANCOM ISG-5000 central-site gateway. The ISG-5000 ships with 100 VPN channels; this option adds capacity so that more branch offices, home offices and mobile users can connect to the head office at the same time. It works with IPsec and WireGuard, and Rohde & Schwarz lists IKEv2-EAP and Smart Certificate support on its VPN options. There is no hardware: you receive a licence key and activate it by registering it on the Rohde & Schwarz LANCOM website. In practice it is the way to grow a central VPN gateway without replacing it.

Compatibility — check before buying:
For the LANCOM ISG-5000 only. Rohde & Schwarz’s option matrix lists the ISG Site 200, 500 and 1000 options for the ISG-5000. They do not work on LANCOM 1800, 1900 or 2100EF routers (those use the VPN 25, 50 or 100 options) or on the ISG-8000 (ISG-8000 Site Option, item 61406). The smaller step is the ISG Site 200 (item 61404) and the larger the ISG Site 1000 (item 61403). The option is activated for one device. Not sure? Tell us your model and we check it for you.

Singular Expert Insight
Size the option on peak demand, not average: home-office days can double the number of tunnels. If you are unsure how many channels your ISG-5000 already has, send us its current licence list and we work out the right step. For VPN gateways, see our routers and firewalls.
