The LANCOM vRouter Unlimited (3000 Sites), 1 Year (item 59022) is a one-year runtime licence for LANCOM’s virtual router — the full LCOS operating system of a LANCOM router running as a virtual machine. The Unlimited 3000 Sites edition is the top tier: 3000 VPN channels, unlimited throughput, 256 ARF networks for network separation, unlimited Public Spot users, and management of up to 1500 access points and Wi-Fi routers. LANCOM lists VMware ESXi 6.0 or later, Microsoft Hyper-V, Proxmox VE and the Azure, AWS and Google Cloud platforms. Free LCOS and LANtools updates run for the licence term. In practice it is a central VPN and Wi-Fi-controller hub for large multi-site networks, run on your own server or in the cloud.

Compatibility — check before buying:
What happens after one year matters. LANCOM states that when the licence expires the vRouter keeps working as licensed, but firmware updates and configuration changes are no longer possible — renew in time, or choose the 3-year (59023) or 5-year (59024) licence. Licences cannot be combined or added together. On ESXi and Hyper-V the host needs an Intel Xeon CPU with AES-NI and VT-x. Do not confuse it with the Unlimited (1000 Sites) edition (59006), which has 1000 VPN channels and 1000 APs. The hypervisor and server are not included. Not sure?
