Lenovo ThinkPad Essential Plus 15.6″ Topload (Eco) — Laptop Case with a 100% RPET Exterior
Fits laptops up to 15.6″100% RPET exteriorLuggage strap0.71 kg
The Lenovo ThinkPad Essential Plus 15.6-inch Topload (Eco), part number 4X41A30365, is a slim top-loading laptop case for ThinkPad and other notebooks up to 15.6 inches, with a dedicated padded laptop compartment kept separate from the document section. Lenovo builds the exterior entirely from RPET — recycled polyester equivalent to more than eight plastic bottles per case — and finishes it with easy-grip zips and a comfortable carry handle. A luggage pass-through strap slides it over a trolley handle, and a front quick-stash pocket takes a phone or a passport. At 0.71 kg it adds very little to what you are already carrying. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a topload case, not a backpack. Lenovo files 4X41A30365 under briefcases and toploads; the backpack version of the same family is 4X41A30364. If a distributor listing shows this part number as a backpack, it is wrong. Laptop size: the Lenovo datasheet states support for Lenovo and ThinkPad laptops up to 15.6″. Lenovo’s US web page titles the same part number as 16″, which contradicts its own datasheet — work from 15.6″. Material conflict: the Lenovo datasheet specifies polyester and RPET with a 100% RPET exterior, while Lenovo’s web copy describes “ballistic nylon”. For an Eco-branded part the datasheet is the reliable source. Not published: Lenovo does not publish internal compartment dimensions, a volume figure, a water-resistance rating, or confirmation that a shoulder strap is included — some retailers claim a detachable strap, but Lenovo’s own feature list does not mention one.
Best For
✓ ThinkPad users who want a matching first-party case
✓ Offices standardising on one 15.6″ case across a laptop fleet
✓ Buyers who want a documented recycled-material case at a modest price
✓ Travellers who slide the case onto a trolley handle
Key Features
100% RPET exterior
Lenovo builds the outer shell entirely from RPET — recycled polyester spun from post-consumer plastic — equivalent to more than eight plastic bottles per case. This is the Eco version of the Essential Plus line, and the recycled claim is the point of it.
Separate laptop compartment
The laptop sits in its own dedicated, padded section rather than sharing the main cavity, so a charger or a folder in the storage area never presses against the screen. Rated for notebooks up to 15.6 inches.
Room for the things around the laptop
A large storage area holds documents and a power adapter, a front zip pocket takes smaller accessories, and a separate front quick-stash pocket is sized for a phone or a passport.
Practical hardware
Easy-grip zip pulls that work with one hand or with gloves, a comfortable padded carry handle, and a luggage pass-through strap that slides the case over the extended handle of a wheeled suitcase.

Singular Expert Insight
First-party laptop cases are usually bought for one of two reasons: a matching accessory on the same purchase order as the laptop, or a fleet standard that IT can reorder by part number. The Essential Plus topload does both jobs cleanly, and the Eco version adds a recycled claim that is unusually specific — a 100% RPET exterior, quantified in bottles, in Lenovo’s own datasheet. At 0.71 kg it is genuinely light for a case that takes a 15.6″ machine plus an adapter. Two documentation quirks are worth flagging because they cause returns. Lenovo’s US web page titles this part number as a 16″ case while the datasheet says 15.6″, and the same web copy describes ballistic nylon while the datasheet specifies RPET. On both points the datasheet is the one to trust for an Eco SKU. Note also that the warranty, though branded Lenovo, is administered by Targus on Lenovo’s behalf. Browse the rest of our laptop cases, and pair the case with a ThinkPad docking station so only the laptop travels.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You carry a ThinkPad or another laptop up to 15.6 inches, want a light first-party topload case with a documented recycled exterior, and value a luggage pass-through strap for travel.
Skip it if
You want a backpack rather than a briefcase, your laptop is 16 inches or larger, or you need a confirmed shoulder strap and published internal dimensions before ordering.
