The LevelOne POI-3004 is a single-port Gigabit PoE+ injector that adds up to 30 W of IEEE 802.3af/at power to a normal Ethernet cable, so one IP camera, access point or VoIP phone can run up to 100 m away without its own adapter. It is the simplest fix when your switch has no PoE, or no free PoE port.

Connect the switch to the data port, the device to the PoE port and the injector to the mains. The power supply is built in and a power cord is in the box.

Before you order: The POI-3004 sends power on the spare pairs (pins 4/5 +, 7/8 −). Standard 802.3af/at devices accept this, but some non-standard or passive-PoE devices expect power on the data pairs — check older or very low-cost equipment.

What Will Not Work

  • 802.3bt devices that need more than 30 W (PTZ with heaters, Wi-Fi 7 high-power APs) will not run fully.
  • It powers one device only.
  • No 2.5G/5G/10G pass-through — 10/100/1000 Mbps only.
  • Passive 24 V PoE devices are not supported.

Will it power a PoE (802.3af) phone?
Yes. 802.3af devices draw up to 15.4 W, well within the 30 W limit.
Do I need a special switch?
No. Any Ethernet switch or router port works; the injector adds the power.
Why does the pin assignment matter?
Standard PoE devices accept power on either pair set. Only some non-standard devices need power on pins 1/2 and 3/6 — tell us the model if unsure.
