The LevelOne POI-3000 is a single-port Gigabit PoE+ injector that adds up to 30 W of IEEE 802.3af/at power to an Ethernet cable, so a PTZ or dome IP camera, 802.11ac/ax access point or video phone can run without a separate adapter. It is for networks where the switch or router has no PoE, or no free PoE port.
Plug the switch into the data port, the device into the PoE port and the injector into the mains. The 100–240 V power supply is built in.
Before you order: The POI-3000 sends power on the data pairs (pins 1/2 +, 3/6 −) at up to 52 VDC. Standard 802.3af/at devices accept this; passive 24 V devices do not, and the injector’s auto-detection will not power non-standard devices.
