10 Gigabit Fiber PCIe Network Card
2 × SFP+ 10 GbEIntel 82599PCIe x8Low-profile bracket
The LevelOne GNC-0202 is a dual-port 10 Gigabit fibre network card for PCIe x8 slots, built on the Intel 82599 chipset. Its two SFP+ slots run at 10 or 1 Gbps with fibre modules or DAC cables, giving a server redundant 10G links or two separate networks. It supports FCoE, iSCSI remote boot, TCP segmentation offload, 802.1Q VLAN, Wake-on-LAN and 15.5 KB jumbo frames. In practice, an SFP-based card is only half of the link. Each port needs a module that matches both the switch and the cable: short-range multimode (SR) optics for runs inside a building, long-range singlemode (LR) optics for longer distances, or a direct-attach copper (DAC) cable for links of a few metres inside the same rack. DAC is the cheapest and lowest-power choice when the switch is close; optics are needed when it is in another room. Check the switch vendor’s module list as well, because some switches accept only their own modules. Setting it up is simple: power the machine off, fit the card in a free slot and secure the bracket, then install the current driver from the manufacturer’s support site, or use the operating system’s built-in driver where one exists. Tell us the system you have and we suggest the right driver and settings, such as jumbo frames or link aggregation.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Compatibility — check before buying: The SFP+ slots are empty: no transceivers or DAC cables are included, and RJ45 cables do not fit. It needs a PCIe x8 or x16 slot. LevelOne lists Windows up to Windows 10 and Server 2016; newer versions are not on its list. Before you order, check three things: a free slot of the right width (x4, x8 or x16) and height (low profile or full height), driver support for your operating system or hypervisor, and the port type on the switch side. Not sure it fits? Tell us the server or PC model and the switch it connects to, and we check it for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it support Windows 11 or Server 2019/2022?
LevelOne lists Windows Vista to 10 and Server 2008 to 2016. Newer versions are not on its list; ask us before ordering for those.
Are transceivers or cables included?
No. LevelOne ships the card without modules or cables. You add 10G SFP+ transceivers or DAC cables for each port you use. Tell us the switch model and the distance, and we suggest the right modules or DAC cables.
Which slot does it need?
A PCIe x8 or x16 slot. A low-profile bracket is included for slim cases.
What warranty do I get?
Singular gives a 1-year direct warranty. LevelOne does not publish a warranty term for this card. Beyond the first year we help you with the manufacturer’s process.
Singular Expert Insight
The GNC-0202 gives two 10G SFP+ ports on a proven Intel 82599 chipset at a modest price. It suits NAS, backup and file servers on 10G fibre. For a branded server option with newer OS support, see the Intel X710-DA2. Our advice: decide on the switch side first — port type (RJ45, SFP+, SFP28 or QSFP), speed and free ports — then pick the card to match, and order modules or cables together so the link works on day one. If the card goes into a branded server, check that vendor’s supported options; if it goes into a NAS, check the NAS vendor’s compatibility list. Browse all our
network cards, or the
switches you will connect it to. If you are planning a new link, we can supply the complete set — card, modules or cables and the switch — checked to work together, and help with the first setup after delivery.
