Managed Gigabit Fibre Conversion

RJ45 → SFP1 GbpsOAMQ-in-Q

Connect a copper Ethernet segment to a Gigabit fibre link and keep control of the conversion point. GVM-1000 combines an RJ45 port with an open SFP slot, so the optical module can be chosen for the fibre and route. Web/SNMP management, OAM diagnostics and bandwidth limits suit links that need monitoring and traffic configuration.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Choose a compatible 1000Base-X Gigabit SFP and match its wavelength, fibre type, connectors and optical budget at both ends. The package list does not include an SFP. This converter does not provide PoE.

Web and SNMP expose port control and status; IEEE 802.3ah OAM adds discovery, loopback and Dying Gasp alarms.
 
Configure tagged traffic
VLAN and Q-in-Q configuration supports separate optical/Ethernet dual-tag ports, with ISP Tag and TPID settings. IEEE 802.1p QoS supports prioritisation.
 
Set a bandwidth ceiling
Set bandwidth from 0 to 1000 Mbps in 64 kbps increments. Software also selects store-and-forward or cut-through operation; jumbo frames are supported up to 9 kB.

Distance and wavelength depend on the selected Gigabit SFP, fibre and optical budget. The converter itself has no fixed optical reach.
Why choose this over an unmanaged converter?
Choose it when you need remote port status/control, OAM diagnostics, VLAN/Q-in-Q configuration or bandwidth limits at the conversion point.
Can it power an Ethernet device?
No. PoE is not supported; power the connected device separately.
