LevelOne POW-4822 — 48 V DC 75 W Industrial DIN-Rail Power Supply
48 V DC · 75 W90–264 V AC inputFanlessDIN rail · -20 to 70 °C
The LevelOne POW-4822 is an industrial 48 V DC power supply rated at 75 W (1.6 A) that clips onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail, made for control cabinets that power switches, controllers and sensors. 48 V DC is the input voltage of most industrial PoE switches and media converters, and the universal 90–264 V AC input (or 127–370 V DC) means the same unit works on any mains supply.
It is fanless and cooled by free air convection, so there is nothing to wear out or clog with dust, and it carries short-circuit, overload and over-voltage protection. The output can be trimmed from 48–55 V to compensate for voltage drop on longer cable runs. It is rated for -20 to 70 °C, can carry 104 % of full load, and each unit is burn-in tested.
Before you order: Some PoE+ (802.3at) switches need 52–56 V DC input to deliver full PoE+ power. The POW-4822 output can be trimmed up to 55 V — check the input voltage your switch requires before ordering.
What's in the Box
- LevelOne POW-4822 DIN-rail power supply
What It Means in Practice
- Mount it on the same 35 mm DIN rail as your industrial switch or controller and wire mains (L/N/PE) and the DC output to the screw terminals — no separate enclosure needed inside a cabinet.
- Size it with headroom: add up the maximum consumption of everything on the 48 V bus and keep it comfortably below 75 W.
- Use the voltage trim (48–55 V) to bring the voltage at the far end of a long DC run back to nominal.
- The DC OK relay lets a PLC or alarm input see immediately if the output fails.
What Will Not Work
- It has no mains cable or plug — it must be wired into terminals by a qualified electrician inside a cabinet.
- A 75 W supply is not enough for a fully loaded PoE switch: the PoE budget your switch can deliver is limited by this supply, minus the switch's own consumption.
- It is not a UPS: if mains power fails, the output drops after the short hold-up time.
- It is not rated for outdoor exposure on its own; install it inside a closed cabinet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use it to power a PoE switch?
Yes, if the switch accepts 48 V DC input — but the 75 W rating limits the total PoE power available to cameras and access points. Check the switch's input range and add up your PoE loads first.
Does it come with a mains cable?
No. Industrial DIN-rail supplies are wired directly to screw terminals inside the cabinet.
What is the difference between POW-2441 and POW-2442?
Both are 24 V 120 W DIN-rail supplies with the same input range. The POW-2442 is rated to 70 °C and adds a DC OK relay; the POW-2441 is rated to 60 °C.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Industrial cabinets fail most often on heat and on undersized supplies, not on the switches themselves. Choose the supply for the hottest day in the cabinet and leave 20–30 % power headroom; for 19-inch racks and cabinet mounting parts see our
rack accessories.
✓ Buy it if you power a small industrial PoE switch or media converter at 48 V and the total load, including PoE, stays well under 75 W.
✕ Skip it if you plan to run several PoE+ cameras or access points at full power — 75 W is too little for that.
→ Also consider a higher-wattage 48 V DIN-rail supply such as the TRENDnet TI-S24048 (240 W) for larger PoE budgets.
