The LevelOne POI-5001 is a single-port Gigabit Ultra PoE injector that delivers up to 60 W at 56 VDC over all four pairs of an Ethernet cable, for PTZ cameras, high-power wireless access points, lighting, digital-signage panels and video phones. It suits installations where a PoE+ (30 W) port is not enough for one device and the switch has no higher-power PoE.

Connect the switch to the data port, the device to the PoE port and the injector to the mains; the power supply is built in.

Before you order: LevelOne specifies the POI-5001 as IEEE 802.3af/at compliant and calls the 60 W mode Ultra PoE; it is not listed as an 802.3bt injector. Devices that need 802.3bt negotiation may not draw more than 30 W — check your device’s PoE requirement or send us the model.

What It Means in Practice

  • 60 W on one port: enough for many PTZ cameras with heaters, signage panels and high-power APs that support 4-pair Ultra PoE.
  • 802.3af and 802.3at devices still work normally and only draw what they need.
  • The Mode A and Mode B LEDs show which pair sets are powering the device.
  • Standby consumption is under 2 W.

What Will Not Work

  • Devices that strictly require 802.3bt Class 5–8 negotiation may stay limited to PoE+ power.
  • More than 60 W (e.g. 90 W bt devices) is not possible.
  • No 2.5G/10G pass-through — 10/100/1000 Mbps only.
  • It powers one device only.
