The Lexmark 85D0P00 is the original black photoconductor unit for the Lexmark CX930 and CX931 colour A3 multifunction printers (CX930dse, CX931dse, CX931dtse) and the XC9325 / XC9335, rated for up to 87,000 pages. It is the drum that transfers the image for the black position — not a toner cartridge.

Lexmark specifies the photoconductor life at an average of 5 letter/A4 pages per print job; actual life varies with job length, paper and coverage. The empty unit can go back through the Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program for recycling.

• At up to 87,000 pages, a black photoconductor typically outlasts many black toner cartridges (85D00K0 5,000 pages or 85D0HK0 28,000 pages) — replace it only when the printer asks.
• An imaging unit or photoconductor is a wear part with its own life counter, separate from the toner. The printer warns you when it is close to end of life — replace only the colour position it names.
• Rated life depends on how you print: short jobs of one or two pages wear the unit faster than long runs, so offices that print many single pages reach the end sooner than the headline figure.
• Handle it by the housing only, never touch the drum surface and keep it out of bright light while it is out of the printer. Fingerprints or light exposure show up as marks on every page.
• Keep the packaging: the protective cover and bag are the safest way to store a part-used unit if you ever have to move or service the printer.

• The cyan, magenta and yellow positions — those use the 85D0Q00 3-pack kit.
• Lexmark CS9xx or CX9xx printers from other series (for example CX950 or CX961) — they use different imaging parts.
• It contains no toner and does not print anything on its own — toner cartridges are a separate purchase.
